Who is responsible for bills?

SureRents pays for all bills to include Council Tax, Electricity, Gas and Broadband

How much is the holding deposit?

If you would like to reserve a room, you will be asked to pay a holding deposit of £250. After successful reference checks, this will come off your rent payment and if not, we will return the full amount to you.

How much are admin fees?

A non refundable £99 administration fee is charged to all housemates

How will my rent be paid?

A monthly direct debit will be setup for your rent to be paid on the 1st of each month.

Do I have to pay a deposit?

We do not take deposits from tenants, however you will be invoiced for any damages and any legal costs incurred to recover any money.

Who will I be living with?

Your housemates will tend to be working professionals in full time employment

Why do I have to provide a bio about myself?

All tenants are asked to write a brief bio about themselves of up to 500 characters as it facilitates integration between you and existing housemates.

How do I report a repair?

To report a repair, log in to Arthur Online using the mobile phone App or via the website. Once logged in, select ‘raise an issue’ and then enter a detailed description about the issue and upload a photo. Finally select the issue type e.g. maintenance and submit. You will then be able view the status of the issue by selecting ‘track issues’

What should I do if I am locked out?

Contact your portfolio manager via phone and email, also contact the office on 02036332036 and email lettings@surerents.co.uk. A member of staff will be in contact with you ASAP.

How often are inspections carried out?

Property inspections are carried out every 3 months and you will be given a minimum of 48 hours notice

Can I terminate my contract early?

If you wish to leave the property early, you will be required to pay the remainder of your 6 or 12 month contract. As all of our housemates are given the option of 6 or 12 month terms, we have found that this provides sufficient flexibility.

How much notice do I have to give?

Your notice must be received 1 month before you are due to move out and 1 month’s notice period becomes effective from the 1st of each month. Because of this, it is advised that you submit your notice prior to the start of the month in which you plan to leave at the end of.

How can I serve notice to move out?

The only way to submit your official notice is in the Tenant Zone on the SureRents website.
